Ambassador Sun Weidong Attends the Roots International School's Celebration on China's National Day

On the October 2nd, 2013, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Sun Weidong attended the Roots International School's celebration on China's national day. The Cultural Counsellor of Chinese Embassy Mr. Zhang Yingbao, the CEO of Roots School Mr. Mustaq and the teachaers and the students of the school joined the celebration. The celebartion was in a warm, friendly and festive atmosphere.

Ambassador Sun Weidong addressed a speech and expressed that China and Pakistan were good neighbours, good friends, good partners and good brothers. The language was the bridge to China-Pakistan friendship. Mr. Sun hoped that the young students make efforts to study Chinese language, culture and national conditions, become the envoys for cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan, so as to pass on the China-Pakistan friendship.

The CEO of Roots School Mr. Mustaq speaked highly of Pakistan-China friendship and extended gratitude Ambassador Sun Weidong and Chinese Embassy's support for the two countries' educational cooperation and the Roots School. Mr. Mustaq expressed that the Roots School will continue to do a good job in teaching Chinese Language, so as to spread the Chinese culture and promote Pakistan-China friendship.

Ambassador Sun Weidong listened to Mr. Mustaq's introduction to the Chinese language department of Roots School and visited many classrooms, kindly talked with the students in primary and middle school, encouraged them to learn Chinese well and make more contributions to China-Pakistan friendship.The faculties and students of Roots School gave a wonderful preformence later including singing the China's National Anthem and taking an umbrella dance. After the performence, Ambassador Sun Weidong took photos with performers. Ambassador Sun Weidong also speaked to the press covering the topics of China-Pakistan relations, the cultrual and people to people exchanges and educational cooperation.
