The diplomats of various countries based in Islamabad had a pleasant spring evening at Chinese Embassy here on Saturday as they enjoyed songs and dances performance of visiting artists from multi-ethnic Gansu province of China.

With light and soft singing, cheerful gong and drum, sweet-sounding of bamboo flute voice, a concert of Gansu Provincial Troupe of Nationalities Song and Dance was well-attended by the diplomats who took keen interest in traditional songs and dances that expressed the life style of the people of the province specially in their love for hometown.

The group while performing at the auditorium of the Chinese Embassy presented Tibetan group dance, sweetness, Chinese classic dance Trio, and solo Tibetan song, classic solo, group dance-cutting of window, and Mongolian dancing.

The well-disciplined gathering fully enjoyed the performance of the Chinese artists appreciating them with clapping as the dances and the songs reflected the traditions and the culture of the province of Gansu.

Most of the people who were enjoying this colorful singing evening, stressed the need for the exchange of more and more cultural programs so as to materialize the concept of global village, having many cultures at one place like a bunch of multi-colored flowers with different fragrances.

As a matter of reality that a diplomat can never keep himself detached from the current issues, many of the diplomats kept busy in political gossip with particular reference to Pakistan as Asif Ali Zardari and 'deal ' remained the talk of the town.

The National Song Dance Troupe of Gansu Province is one of the regiments of performance with great reputation in China, from Han, Hui, Tibetan, Mongolia, Dongxiang, Yugu, Boan, Mian etc. 68 each nationality of actors constitute.
