(Pakistan Observer, Aug 27, 2008) Chinese Ambassador Mr. Luo Zhaohui held a reception Tuesday night at the Embassy to fete the Chinese youth delegation visiting Pakistan under an exchange programme. The 100-member delegation visited Karachi and Lahore before coming to Islamabad on the final leg of tour.

The members of Chinese youth delegation presented a colorful and festive cultural show. The Chinese artists mesmerized the viewers by their songs and dance items. Every presentation was followed by loud applause.

The reception turned out to be a celebration for unprecedented standard of Beijing Olympics recently held.

The chief guest was Federal Minister for Housing Mr. Rehmatullah Kakar. He congratulated the Chinese nation and government for setting highest possible standard of management for Beijing Olympics.

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, Secretary Youth Affairs Ashfaq Mahmood and Additional Foreign Secretary Masood Khalid were among the guests. They were also all praise for the successful holding of Beijing Olympics. They said, we in Pakistan are proud of Chinese achievement.

Masood Khalid said the Beijing Olympics will always be remembered for marvelous management and best standard. He thought no other country but China itself would surpass the Beijing Olympics in terms of standards.

Earlier, welcoming the Chinese youth delegation Ambassador Luo Zhaohui appreciated Pakistan's cooperation in holding of Beijing Olympics. He said exchange of youth delegations promote friendship between his country and Pakistan. He said the youth exchange programme was initiated following a visionary decision by the two countries.
