Urdu sweetest among languages: Chinese envoy

June 8, Islamabad (Nation)--- "Urdu is one of the sweetest languages in the world" said Mr. Luo ZhaoHui, Ambassador of China, at the publication ceremony of three books translated into Urdu from Chinese literature held at Academy of Letters (PAL) here on Thursday.

While addressing the gathering he said "Today is a great day in the field of civilization and literary history for both countries. It was a great achievement of literature".

These three books 'Analects of Confucius', 'Selection from the Chinese Poetry' and 'Selection from the Chinese Literature ' have been launched to celebrate the 56th friendship anniversary of China and Pakistan.

Kishwar Naheed, a well renowned writer, said, "No doubt Chinese Civilization is an Ancient Civilization. We came to know after read these books that Chinese also made poetries on Peach leaves and highlight the women issues like us".

"Whenever I went China I saw new use of technology and development, and every time scene is totally change. The best thing in Chinese people they are energetic and hard worker and the nation of China are loyal with their country and it is the key thing for their success", she added.

Dr. Iftikhar Arif said, "Pak-China friendship is based on historical values and both countries are bound with ancient civilizations and historical relations, both countries trust each other in the hour of need."

State Minister of Minorities Prof Dr. Mushtaq Victor said like in other fields, culture and literature also strengthen Pak-China friendship.

Prof. Dr Aftab Iqbal Shamim said, "These books help us to learn about the Chinese culture and its civilization.It is a very good step in the field of both countries literatures."
