In accordance with the stipulations of the Letters of Exchange signed between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 26 July and 31 August 2006 respectively, the Chinese Government provided the Government of Pakistan with equipment worth RMB Yuan 2.3 million for the National Art Gallery.

Signing ceremony regarding handing over of the said equipment was held in the National Art Gallery, Ministry of Culture on 16 July 2007. The Handing-over Certificate was inked by H.E. Dr. G. G. Jamal, Federal Minister for Culture and H.E. Mr. Luo Zhaohui, Chinese Ambassador on behalf of their respective governments.

The said equipment includes 02 elevators, 02 film projectors, 02 slide projectors, 16 security monitors, 02 tape recorders, 04 computers and printers, 01 photocopier, 04 fax machines, 02 vehicles and various books and magazines. The contribution embodied the friendly sentiments of the Chinese government and people toward the Pakistani government and people.
