Chinese senior vice foreign minister holds talks with Inam-ul Haque, Riaz Mohammad Khan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (APP): Pakistan and China on Tuesday resolved to further strengthen their cooperative partnership in defence, economic, commercial, cultural, education, scientific and technical fields.

Chinese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived here today on a three-day visit as Special Envoy of the Chinese government, held meetings with Foreign Minister Inam ul Haque and Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides discussed matters relating to bilateral relations as well as exchanged views on regional and global issues. They reviewed, at length, the on-going cooperation between Pakistan and China in diverse fields, says a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visiting Senior Vice Foreign Minister also called on the Minister for Interior. They exchanged instruments of ratification of the extradition treaty which was signed in November 2003 during President Musharraf's visit to China.

During his stay in Islamabad, Wang Yi will also call on the President and the Prime Minister.
