ISLAMABAD, Sep 13 (APP):Pakistan’s ambassador to China Masood Khan has said that Pakistan wants to establish new investment opportunities in China. In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said in the resent past several accords were signed during President Asif Ali Zardair’s visit to China. He added that Pakistan wants to work with China on large dams like Munji dam capable of generating 7000 MW electricity. The Ambassador said Pakistan has signed accord with China’s largest company in this regard. He said WAPDA chairman and secretary General to President Salaman Farooqi paid visit to China to follow up the development. He said WAPDA has identified some 12 small and medium dams which will be constructed in all the four provinces adding purpose of these dams is to preserve water and produce electricity. About 700 million dollar MoU has been signed with Chinese Bank in this regard. He said Pakistan wants to increase exports to China also. |
