ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that auditing is a key to good governance and that is why the government has made the opposition leader chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the National Assembly to ensure transparency. He was talking to Auditor General of China, Liu Jiayi who called on the President here at the Presidency.

The meeting was attended by the Auditor General of Pakistan Tanvir Ali Agha, Chinese ambassador in Pakistan Luo Zhaohui, Secretary General to the President M. Salman Faruqui and other senior officials.

The President welcomed the Chinese Auditor General for participating in the 11th Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions Assembly in Pakistan.

Liu Jiayi said that the already existing close cooperation between the Auditor Generals of China and Pakistan will be further enhanced to the mutual benefit.

The President expressed satisfaction on the level of cooperation between the auditor generals of Pakistan and China and hoped that it will further strengthen with the passage of time.
